Hey everyone! If you've missed our super exciting blog updates from Cambodia, don't fret. We received a little update from our friends at the Safe Haven in Poipet...
Before our team left Cambodia this past November, we were fortunate enough to be able to donate enough money to the Safe Haven to sponsor a library for the kids! If you check out some of the photos below, you'll see the new shelves filled with all sorts of books. It was so important to our team to, not only make a difference to these kids while we were over there, but to continue contributing to their everyday lives and spiritual growth after we left. The library did just that. I can't imagine how they feel, being apart from their families and everything they've ever known, so it's great to see the kids happy and engaged in activities. The Safe Haven creates a safe, nurturing, educational, and spiritual environment for them to learn and grow into strong, self-sustaining adults. I can't think of a better place to support. Enjoy the pictures!
Some Safe Haven staff members - no shoes allowed inside!
Outside of the library. Almost all of the buildings have this look. The kids, of course, decorate their dorms, adding lots of character to the otherwise gray interior.
